The African network will hold its 2019 general assembly meeting in Ghana, alongside the International Data Protection & Privacy Conference (Africa Region), 24-27 June 2019.
The Conference will provide an opportunity to discuss, in particular:
- Africa’s position in relation to international challenges to privacy protection;
- Raising awareness among data subjects and promoting a privacy culture;
- Adopting legislation on personal data protection in the region;
- Establishing supervisory authorities;
- Pan-African privacy and personal data protection mechanisms;
- Relations with Africa’s international partners.
