Personal Data Protection: APD and CNDP sign a cooperation agreement

The Angolan Data Protection Agency (APD) and the Moroccan National Commission for the Control of the Protection of Personal Data (CNDP) signed this last Tuesday (13 June), an agreement of partnership on the protection of personal data.

With the agreement, the APD now has the support of the CNDP within the framework of DATA TIKA, that Commission's program aimed at protecting citizens in the digital ecosystem.

 

In addition to this institutional support, the agreement now being signed between Chairpersons, Maria das Dores Pinto (APD) and Omar Seghrouchni (CNDP), includes cooperation in the areas of staff training, exchange of information and mutual consultation, complaint management, investigation management and development of joint initiatives.

 

It should be remembered that the Chairperson of the CNDP, like the Member of the Data Protection Commission of Portugal, the Brazilian specialist in cybersecurity, Marcelo Lau, and the Angolan engineer Ivo Domingos, composed the panel on protection of personal data of the International Forum of Information Technologies and Communication, called ANGOTIC 2023, that started last Monday (12 June), which was moderated by the Executive Director of APD, engineer Paulo Pedro.
