According to the decision of the APD’s Board of Directors, expressed in the deliberation of April 27th of this year, Banco de Poupança e Crédito, an Angolan public bank, violated several rules of the LPDP which culminated in the leakage of a map of employees affected by employment termination at the aforementioned bank, through online social networks.
The facts occurred in the first half of March of the year 2021.
According to that Board, the total amount of the fine, which may be paid the equivalent in national currency, results from the fact that the aforementioned bank has committed three offences, namely “non-observance of technical and organizational measures to protect the personal data of employees, disrespect for the duties of care and secrecy in relation to access and improper disclosure of these data and, finally, the processing of personal data without authorization from the Agency.
The map of employees, subject to a fine, contained data of a personal nature, namely, mechanographic number, name, surname, occupation and work address, of a total of 278 employees affected by employment termination at BPC.
